Ryan Lochte and Kayla Reid both described their marriage as "irretrievably broken," TMZ Sports has learned.

According to court documents we obtained, when Reid filed for divorce from the Olympic great in late March, she stated the grounds for the split were "the marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken." In his answer to Reid's petition -- which was filed in late April -- Lochte wrote the same.

Both agreed their date of marriage was Jan. 9, 2018 ... but the two differed on the actual date of their split. Reid called it March 7 ... while Lochte said it simply happened in April.

Mary Lou Retton's attorney is adamant the Olympic legend has not vanished following her DWI arrest last month ... in fact, the lawyer is adamant she's currently "in good spirits."

Edmund J. Rollo released a statement to TMZ Sports on Tuesday, insisting the Daily Mail's report that Retton's family had not "seen or heard from her" since her mid-May arrest was "grossly inaccurate."

"This report did not originate from Mary Lou's family, as the article stated," said Rollo, who was hired by Retton after prosecutors levied the misdemeanor DWI charge on her on May 17.

Huston said this week the International Olympic Committee has taken possession of his medal in order to fix it up ... after he revealed in the days following the Paris Games that his prized piece was already showing wear and tear.

Olympic sprinter Fred Kerley -- once considered the fastest human alive -- has pleaded not guilty to hitting his ex-girlfriend in the face earlier this month.

TMZ Sports has learned that Kerley's lawyer, Richard Cooper, notified the court in Broward County last week, indicating the 30-year-old Olympic silver medalist wanted to fight the misdemeanor battery charge in front of a jury of his peers.

Fred hasn't spoken much about the alleged incident, but he did release a statement shortly after his arrest, saying ... "While there was a physical altercation, my arrest was not due to any criminal act. Rather, it resulted from my decision to remain silent until my legal counsel was present."

Wrestling superstar Kyle Snyder -- who won gold at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games -- was arrested last week as part of a prostitution sting, police said Monday.

According to the Columbus Police Dept. in Ohio, Snyder responded at around 8:15 PM on May 9 to a fake internet ad that law enforcement had posted in an effort to catch people looking to illegally pay for sex.

Cops allege Snyder set up a date with an undercover agent at a nearby hotel ... and when he showed up less than half an hour later, he forked over cash and requested oral sex.

Former U.S. Olympian Ivan Lee was sentenced this week after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor sex offenses stemming from his time as head coach of the Long Island University fencing team.

Lee was arrested in 2024 on forcible touching, sexual abuse and harassment charges ... after a female fencer he was coaching at the time filed criminal complaints against him.

According to USA Today, the forcible touching charge was vacated by the Kings County Criminal Court after Lee participated in a court-ordered treatment program.

As former Olympic swimmer Gary Hall Jr. continues to rebuild from the devastating L.A. wildfires, he can now cross replacing his 10 Olympic medals lost in the tragedy off his list -- as the IOC presented him with replica medals during a private ceremony Monday morning.

Hall Jr. made the trip to the International Olympic Committee headquarters in Switzerland for the event ... four months after he lost his Pacific Palisades pad to the blaze.

It was an unprecedented gesture ... something Hall did not take lightly.

"Thank you for the medals," Hall said. "Never before have 10 Olympic medals been replaced. Probably because no one has lost 10 medals before. I will do a better job at taking care of these."

Olympic sprinter Fred Kerley is once again in trouble with the law ... TMZ Sports has learned he was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend in the face.

According to an arrest report we obtained ... cops were dispatched to Dania Beach, FL around 7:48 PM to investigate Kerley after Alaysha Johnson reported to authorities he had hit her.

The police docs state Johnson told officers she was at a conditioning appointment for an upcoming track and field event when she ran into Fred -- whom she had previously dated for about six months.
