Young Thug’s nephew is in police custody after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend in the face… TMZ Hip Hop has discovered.
Young Thug’s nephew, Fardereen Deonta Grier was arrested on Wednesday after police were called to a home outside of Atlanta. According to East Point PD spokesperson Allyn Glover, when officers arrived, Grier was crying and his girlfriend, Destiny Fitzpatrick, was dead in a pool of blood near the front door.
Grier told cops he was Young Thug‘s nephew, the son of YT’s oldest sister… but it’s unclear why he chose to share the information, according to Glover. According to a source close to Young Thug, the two are related.
What happened is that Grier initially told responding officers that he was defending himself against two armed, masked intruders, but officers say he eventually admitted to shooting Destiny in the face. Prior to the shooting, a neighbor allegedly heard arguing in the house.
Young Thug’s nephew, Grier was taken into custody and charged with murder.
Young Thug, as you may know, is currently in custody on a variety of RICO charges after being denied bond multiple times. Gunna, another YSL artist charged in the RICO case, was in court Thursday trying to get released on bond, but the judge denied him.
We’ve reached out to Young Thug’s legal team for comment on the situation with Grier, but have yet to receive a response.
