Camidoh has given a reason why Ghanaian musicians should take advantage of the vast Nigerian market on the back of his hugely popular Sugarcane song, the remix of which has been widely circulated in Nigeria.
Camidoh claimed that Nigerians popularized his Sugarcane song, referring to them as “the Giant of Africa.”
He was quick to add, however, that while he marketed his song in Nigeria, his main goal was to gain global recognition.
Camidoh told Pulse Nigeria that he does not rush to do hit songs but instead focuses on the quality of the song.
He observed that quality songs are timeless, so every artist should strive to invest properly in the quality of their products rather than its virality.
Camidoh also revealed that he is currently working on another hit with other Nigerian musicians.
“Nigeria is a giant in Africa, and every African artist should try and penetrate the Nigerian market,” he said of why artists should take advantage of the Nigerian market.
This is one of the most important music markets.
It’s all for show.
How can your music grow if you don’t have the numbers?
“I believe Ghanaian artists should break into the Nigerian market.”
