We Have Not Received Any Funds From Government - ARSOG Replies Movie Makers

The Secretary to the Audio-Visual Society Of Ghana (ARSOG), Ash Bowa has refuted claims that the association is delaying on the release of funds issued by the government to the industry players.

According to Ash Bowa who revealed this to Seancity Media, he stated categorically that there has not been any levy from the government to the leadership meant for the industry players which they are withholding.

“The government has not given us any levy or money to be shared to them. No money has come. The process is still on course and it takes time”, he added

Audio-Visual Rights Society of Ghana (ARSOG) was established in 2011 to protect the rights of owners of Audiovisual works in Ghana.

These are producers, authors and oerformers. It has an eleven member board made up of three producers, three authors and two performers who were duly elected at a conference of practitioners in the Industry.

There are two other specialists appointed per their expertise and the Chief Executive Officer.
