Taylor Swift Becomes The First Artist To Reach The Top 10 Slots In US Charts

Following a tremendously successful first week, the pop star, Taylor Swift’s most recent album Midnights smashes a number of records. Claims the Top 10 US Charts slots

The US Billboard Hot 100 chart’s top 10 spots have now all been claimed by Taylor Swift, making her the first artist to do so.

The pop star’s most recent album Midnights, which was released a little over a week ago on Friday, October 21, contains all of the tracks.

The record was previously held by US rapper Drake, who for a week in September of last year had nine of the top 10 singles.

Swift tweeted to her 91.5 million followers in response to the news: “Among the Hot 100, 10 of 10? I’m on my tenth album? IN SHAMBLES, THAT IS.”

The anti-Hero, the album’s lead single and her eighth number-one hit overall, took the top spot.

Lavender Haze, Maroon, Snow on the Beach, Midnight Rain, Bejeweled, Question…?, You’re On Your Own, Kid, Karma, and Vigilante S*** were the other songs to crack the top 10.

According to the Official Charts Company, Midnights outsold Harry Styles’ Harry’s House to become the year’s fastest-selling album.

It amassed 204,000 chart sales in seven days, more than tripling Swift’s previous record of 90,300 sales from her 2014 album 1989. It amassed 204,000 chart sales in seven days, more than tripling Swift’s previous record of 90,300 sales from her 2014 album 1989.

Since Adele’s album 30 was released in November of last year, this was the biggest first week for album sales. With 72.5 million streams over the course of seven days, this was also the most streamed album of the year.

Midnights and Anti-Hero both reached the top spot in the UK charts last week, continuing Swift’s dominance there.

It occurs only a few days after the controversy surrounding the Anti-Hero music video.

The pop star was seen stepping onto bathroom scales in the song’s original video before the word “fat” appeared on the dial.

However, the video was changed on YouTube and Apple Music, and the modified version now just depicts Swift getting a disapproving glance from a lookalike who is standing to one side.
