Stonebwoy Releases His First Single ''Therapy'' Under Universal Music Group's Def Jam Recordings

Stonebwoy has released his first single ‘THERAPY‘ after joining Universal Music Group’s Def Jam Recordings.


Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known as Stonebwoy, has joined the Def Jam Recordings Africa Family.

Def Jam Recordings (commonly known as Def Jam) is a Universal Music Group-owned American multinational record label. Def Jam Africa debuted in May 2020 as the first label dedicated to representing the best hip-hop, Afrobeats, and trap artists in Africa, and it is modelled after the legendary Def Jam Recordings label, which has impacted and led the cutting-edge in hip-hop and urban culture for more than 35 years.

Since 2012, Stonebwoy, an award-winning African singer, has been firmly establishing the continent on the musical map with international touring, noteworthy collaborations, and massively hit singles. Stonebwoy, one of Ghana’s most important stars, has released his new single, Therapy, on Def Jam Recordings, 0207 Def Jam, and Def Jam Africa, with support from UMG companies all throughout the world.

The tune is the first from Stonebwoy’s freshly signed record deal with Def Jam, which is home to some of the continent’s biggest stars in hip-hop, Afrobeats, and trap music. It’s also the lead single off Stonebwoy’s upcoming album, which is set to launch in mid-2022.

He has been dubbed the “King of Ragga and Dancehallin’ for Africa” because of his numerous accolades, including Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards, Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, and two Billboard trophies. He’s collaborated with international artists like Keri Wilson, Sean Paul, Trey Songz, Burna Boy, Alpha Blondie, and many others, and he’s rocked stages all over the world, from the United Kingdom to the United States, Australia, Italy, Puerto Rico, and Amsterdam, making his electrifying touring an essential part of his career.
