Every year, as netizens discuss the new phone on social media, the event becomes a hot issue. As a result, Ghanaian skit writer SDK Dele produced a spoof about the most recent smart iPhone in advance of yesterday’s event.
The two-minute humorous movie gained worldwide traction and had over 640,000 views on Twitter. It also received over 900 comments, 7,600+ retweets, and quoted replies.
According to a research by Digitalic, SDK took third place among the top 50 iPhone 14 influencers worldwide. The Ghanaian comedian actor has reportedly spoken to more than 883,000 individuals about the iPhone 14 in all.

In the video, SDK played the part of Apple CEO Tim Cook while amusingly dissecting the characteristics of the new iPhone. He began the video by saying, “Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the outdooring of our newest mobile addition, iPhone 14,” in a lighthearted reference to the declining value of the Ghanaian cedi.
“If you are from Ghana or Nigeria, you are wasting your time watching this presentation since the dollar situation in your nation would not enable you to view this (cedis) this phone,” he said, using puns and sarcasm in his delivery.
He said, mockingly, “If you do manage to afford it, you will not have electricity to keep it working,” addressing Nigerians. This, along with other amusing lines in his video, helped the Ghanaian creator of the skit become famous on Twitter for his originality.
