Since Bishop Daniel Obinim decided not to accept donations once more, he has made it clear that church members are no longer compelled to give to the offertory at services.
Bishop Obinim said in a recent article that he had fired 72 of his pastors because he was investing more in them without getting any return on his investment.
His decision to stop taking offerings in any of his churches around the country has now been made public.
After the service, we simply give whatever we can from the bottom of our hearts to support God’s work so they can have money to pay for small expenses like energy and water bills.
This is due to the fact that, in his opinion, no longer is any of his church’s members compelled to give offerings.
Others contend that keeping the offertory is the best course of action because everyone will know how much money is being given to support God’s work, while some online commenters claim Bishop Obinim is using this strategy to promote himself and draw in more churchgoers.
