New Accusations In The Harry And Meghan Trailer; "They Were Willing To Lie To Protect My Brother"

More moments from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix documentary, whose first three parts were made available last week, are seen here. The final three will be revealed on Thursday and will discuss their choice to leave their royal responsibilities and start over in America.

In a preview for the most recent episode of their Netflix docuseries, Prince Harry stated, “They were delighted to lie to protect my brother,” while Meghan said she was “fed to the wolves” before she left the UK with her husband.

In the video, Meghan claims that “everyone in the world knew where we were” and that “our security was being removed.”

As an airplane takes off, Prince Harry is heard saying, “I said, ‘We need to get out of here.'”

The couple’s journey to the US is then captured on a self-shot video with Prince Harry saying: “We are on the freedom flight.”

The first three episodes of Meghan & Harry, which were made available to stream last week, featured the couple discussing the strain they faced as a result of media attention to their personal life.

The six-part series’ final three parts, which will air on Thursday, will examine their choice to leave their regal responsibilities and start over in America.

The Duke of Sussex begins the 90-second clip by saying, “I wonder what would have happened to us, had we not gotten away when we did.”

He then discusses “Institutional gaslighting,” the duchess continues, before clarifying that she wasn’t abandoned. I was being consumed by wolves.”

Harry says, “They were willing to lie to protect my brother,” alluding to Prince William, while newspaper headlines proclaim, “Queen orders a harsh Megxit.”

They were never prepared to come clean in order to keep us safe.

The duke uses the pronoun “they,” but it’s unclear who he means.

There is a possibility that Harry was referring to the UK media, though. Although Harry really says, “They were happy to lie to defend my brother,” the subtitles in the same teaser on the Netflix website instead read, “the British media are happy to lie to protect my brother.”

The Sussexes announced on January 8, 2020, that they will “step back as senior members of the Royal Family and endeavor to become financially independent.”

On March 31, 2020, they formally renounced the monarchy after choosing personal and financial independence over continuing to serve as active members of the Royal Family.

You must complete the first chapter before we can move on to the next one, Harry explains.

As Meghan explains, “leaving the UK offered us the chance to construct that home that we had always wanted.”

The duke continues, “I’ve always thought that this was a struggle worth fighting for.

With the show featuring personal clips and stills from their time as royals, the couple has justified their decision to give the streaming giant an intimate insight into their private lives.

Following family strife and troubles with royal life, the couple decided to leave their positions as senior working royals and secured lucrative contracts with Netflix and Spotify, which are estimated to be worth more than £100 million.

This docuseries, directed by Oscar-nominated Liz Garbus, has been promoted as a Netflix global event, with Harry and Meghan exposing “the other side of their high-profile love story” after their shocking appearance with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.

They have, however, drawn criticism, and one Conservative MP plans to introduce legislation that might result in the duo losing their royal titles.
