Abrantee Amakye Dede has joined the chorus of Ghanaians urging the legalization of marijuana use in the nation.
The renowned Ghanaian Highlife legend admitted to having tried marijuana in the past but disliking it in an interview with Nana Aba Anamoah on Starr Chat. Amakye Dede thinks that it would be preferable for Ghana to legalize it because other nations are profiting from it.
I’ve tried it before, but I didn’t enjoy it, he admitted.
When asked if he thought it should be legalized in Ghana, Amakye Dede responded, “Like it will be better, since that they have legalized it and are generating money from it in America, sections of Germany, and Amsterdam.”
”So if someone suggests that Ghana legalize marijuana, I don’t think it’s a problem, he continued. The singer of “Yenfa Nto Woso” claims that he has nothing against marijuana smokers.
He responded, “No, if you smoke marijuana, you’re a nasty person. When asked if he would recommend marijuana use for artists, he responded “absolutely,” describing the benefits and adding that “it is extra lively.”
