Kanye West Goes 30 Days Verbal Fast; No Drinking, No Sex, No talking

Kanye West, also known as Ye, is facing backlash after making anti-Semitic comments, but he’s now saying he’s quitting sex and alcohol and ‘not talking to nobody for a month.’ He has said that he will be going on a 30 days verbal fast during which time he won’t talk to anyone, consume any alcohol, view any X-rated movies, or engage in any sexual activity.

The rapper, who has been under fire for making antisemitic comments, announced to his 31.8 million Twitter followers that he will stop communicating with everyone for a month.

Below was a post that appeared to be handwritten “I’m on 30 days verbal fast right now. No alcohol. No adult films. No intercourse. In God we praise. Amen.”

However, West added: “But my Twitter still lit,” which seems to indicate that his “fast” didn’t extend to social media.

The 45-year-old has just had his Twitter account reinstated after last year’s formal name change to Ye. After posting that he was “doing death con 3 ON JEWISH PEOPLE,” his account was suspended. He then claimed that he wasn’t “antisemitic because black people are actually Jew as well.”

In another Instagram post, he claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs was under the authority of “the Jews.”

He has been banned from Instagram for 30 days after also breaking their rules.

According to NBC news, West was accused of having a “disgusting, hate-filled, bizarre Nazi fascination” just this week by an ex-collaborator. Six other persons also claimed to have overheard West praising Adolf Hitler or mentioning Jewish conspiracy theories.

Other controversial statements made by West recently include the notion that slavery was “a choice” and the characterization of the COVID-19 vaccination as the “mark of the beast.”

He responded to the Black Lives Matter movement by wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt during Paris Fashion Week, which many people saw in shock. White Lives Matter is a neo-Nazi organization, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which keeps track of hate groups.

West also made a number of comments regarding Jews and money during an interview on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program.

Many famous people have condemned his actions, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, who posted the following on social media: “Hate speech is never acceptable or justified. I demand that the awful acts of violence and offensive remarks directed at the Jewish community cease right away.”

In 2020, she discussed West’s battle with bipolar disorder, stating that “those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes do not coincide with his goals.”

Since making his slew of remarks, West’s career has tanked and he is no longer thought to be a billionaire.

As a result, businesses like Balenciaga, Foot Locker, Adidas, and Gap have severed connections with him, as have his talent agency and bank JP Morgan.

He was also led from the Skechers corporate headquarters in Los Angeles after he “showed up uninvited and unannounced.”

A finished documentary about him has also been put on hold, and Madame Tussauds in London has hidden his wax sculpture from the general public.

With the acquisition anticipated to be completed later this year, West is currently in the midst of purchasing alternative messaging service Parler, which bills itself as a “viewpoint-neutral social media app dedicated to freedom of expression, peaceful conversation, and user privacy.”
