“Sincerely, I thought I was going to pass away.” I spent the ensuing 18 years spiraling in an attempt to get it right after it, “When talking about her heartbreak and eventual reconciliation with her husband, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez made a comment.
Jennifer Lopez has discussed her relationship with Ben Affleck, claiming that their quicksand romance is the “most would-never-happen-in-Hollywood ending.”
Lopez, 53, claimed that her breakup with Affleck in 2004 was the “worst heartbreak” of her life in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music.
Following their engagement in November of the previous year and impending wedding in September 2003, the couple decided to divorce in January 2004.
The actor-director, 50, and singer claimed they were back together last year after divorcing their respective wives. They then were married in July.
Aerial photographs obtained by MailOnline of their second wedding, which took place on the grounds of Ben Affleck’s $8.9 million (£7.5 million) estate in the US state of Georgia, show the couple strolling down a white carpet and cuddling at a pure white altar.
When discussing the initial intentions to wed, the celebrity disclosed to Lowe: “That wedding cancellation 20 years ago caused the greatest sadness of my life.
“Sincerely, I thought I was going to pass away. For the following 18 years, I went on a spiral where I just couldn’t get it right.
“However, it does have a happy ending now, 20 years later. The ending is the most Hollywood-unlike and would never happen. That is never going to occur. We won’t write that since no one would accept its conclusion.
Lopez stated that she was unable to sing the songs from her 2002 album This I Me… Then shortly after their breakup. She admitted that trying to play the songs was “very agonizing,” even though she had created the CD to document their love.
It’s strange because when Ben and I got back together, he said, ‘You never performed the songs,'” she continued. I’m relieved you never did. Never did you do this. Never did you do that.
“Then I said, “You’re correct. It hurt a lot. To move on and survive, I had to put that aspect of myself aside.”
20 years have passed since the debut of This Is Me. Then Lopez made a new record, This Is Me… Now, set for release in 2019, official.
It will “chronicle the emotional, spiritual, and psychological journey that she has made over the previous two decades,” she claimed, and touch on her life after reconnecting with Affleck. The new album is her first since 2014, according to her.
“The album’s overall message is that love does exist. There is true love here “Lopez clarified.
“Currently, I believe that the album’s main message is to not give up if you have occasionally lost faith and, like me, have nearly done so. Because it’s really that true love exists and that some things last forever.”
