The American comedian, Jay Leno, is a devoted auto enthusiast who keeps more than 200 vehicles in a garage in Burbank, which is located north of Los Angeles.

After one of his automobiles caught fire in the garage of his Los Angeles home, Jay Leno suffered severe burns.

After what the US comedian’s representative called a “flash fire,” he was transported to the hospital with facial injuries.

Following the “extremely serious medical issue,” the 72-year-old former Tonight Show host canceled a Sunday night performance in Las Vegas, according to People magazine.

“A gasoline fire caused me to suffer severe burns. I am OK. I just have to get back on my feet for a week or two “He stated this to NBC News, a partner of Sky News.

Leno was treated at Grossman Burn Center, but his eye and ear were not seriously hurt, according to Reuters.

The passionate auto enthusiast, who owns more than 200 vehicles, left the Tonight Show in 2014 and has since hosted Jay Leno’s Garage on CNBC in addition to a reboot of the well-known US game show You Bet Your Life.
