Black Sherif Reportedly Charges GH489,000 After Rejecting An Offer Of GH97,000 For A UK Performance

According to rumors, Black Sherif, who’s currently in the UK, was unable to take the stage at the London concert because his team wanted the organizers to pay almost 500,000 Ghana Cedis to them.

As part of the VGMA ‘Best New Artiste of the Year’ package, the Ghanaian trap star was supposed to perform at the #GhanaPartyInThePark. Unfortunately, that couldn’t happen because the timing wasn’t favorable for Blacko’s team,” VGMAs PRO, Robert Klah, said.

According to an insider quoted in a Hitz FM article, Black Sherif was unable to play at the concert because his team wanted a hefty payment that the event organizers wouldn’t accept.

According to an anonymous source [a member of the Akwaaba UK group], the group proposed an amount of £10,000 (GHS 97,786) as Black Sherif’s performance fee for the Ghana Party in the Park event. However, Blacko’s team was demanding £50,000 (GHS 489,387),” a tweet by Hitz FM said.

The claim afterwards ignited a discussion on social media. “The managers of Blacko Sherif are about to ruin his career. It is completely ludicrous to charge £50,000 (GHC489K) for a performance because of three popular songs. He isn’t worthwhile. When the fame fades, he will beg for GHC20,000 in payment.
