A modification to her daughter’s will, according to the attorneys representing Elvis Presley’s ex-wife, has “several difficulties,” including an odd signature.

Regarding the “validity and authenticity” of a change made to her daughter Lisa Marie’s will, Priscilla Presley has launched a court challenge.

Elvis Presley’s ex-wife contests a modification to Lisa Marie’s living trust that would remove Priscilla from her role as executor of her daughter’s inheritance.

A living trust is a type of estate planning that enables a person to manage their assets while they are still alive while arranging for their distribution after death. If no separate will is filed, a living trust can fulfill the role of a will.

Elvis and Priscilla’s sole child, Lisa Marie, passed away on January 12 at the age of 54. At her father’s Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee, she was put to rest.

The attorneys for Priscilla Presley contend that “several problems regarding the authenticity and legitimacy” of the will modification exist.

They reportedly include failing to inform Priscilla of the change and a misspelling of her name on a document purportedly signed by her daughter.

Another problem, according to attorneys, was Lisa Marie’s signature, which was “inconsistent with her regular and customary signature.”

Barry Siegel and Priscilla Presley were appointed trustees of the living trust in 1993 and again in 2010, according to a court document filed in Los Angeles.

Additionally, it stated that Priscilla Presley found a document referring to a trust modification that was dated 11 March 2016.

It claimed that the “purported” change removed her and Mr. Siegel from their roles as current and succeeding trustees, designating Riley Keough and Benjamin Keough as Lisa Marie’s “successor co-trustees of the trust” upon her passing.

According to the document, Mr. Siegel had previously planned to step down from his post, leaving Priscilla Presley and Ms. Keough to serve as co-trustees.

At the age of 27, Benjamin Keough committed suicide in 2020. Riley, who is his sister, is an actor.

When Lisa Marie’s father Elvis passed away in August 1977 at the age of 42, she was nine years old.
